Work Anywhere. Roam Everywhere. Live Free. Freedom Road Living helps people decide whether full-time RV life is right for them, then plan it well: the budget, the rig, the internet and power, the routes, and the income that keeps it all going.

Why we built this
Most RV content falls into two camps: inspiring highlight reels that skip the hard parts, or scattered forum threads that are hard to trust. Freedom Road Living sits in between. We turn the practical questions of RV life into clear guides and free tools that show their work, so you can make decisions with your own numbers.
Who runs Freedom Road Living
Freedom Road Living was founded by Jeremy Jarvis, who also runs independent travel and planning publications. Jeremy leads research, fact-checking, and the site’s planning tools.
What we believe
- Preparation creates freedom. A realistic budget and a backup plan make the road more enjoyable, not less.
- Honesty over hype. We separate fact from opinion, cite sources, and say what we have and have not tested.
- Helpful before commercial. Recommendations come from reader needs, never from commission rates.
- Tools that show their work. Every calculator explains its assumptions and formulas.
How we research
We rely on official and authoritative sources, including government agencies, park and campground websites, and manufacturer documentation. Every article names its author, shows its dates, and is reviewed by a person before publication. Read our Editorial Policy and Review Methodology.
How we make money
Freedom Road Living is reader-supported through affiliate commissions and, in future, an optional membership called the RV Freedom Portal. Commissions never change our recommendations or how our tools calculate. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
What Freedom Road Living covers
Freedom Road Living is an independent publication for people who live, work, or travel for long stretches in an RV, van, or trailer across the United States and Canada. We focus on the practical systems that make life on the road work: budgets and costs, RV internet, solar and portable power, gear, remote work and road income, and campgrounds and routes.
How we work
Our articles are researched against official sources, such as the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management, and the USDA Forest Service, and against manufacturer documentation. Our free calculators show their working so you can check every assumption. We also build tools on official government data, including our RV Campground Finder and our national park RV length limits table.
We are open about how content is made. Some articles are drafted with AI assistance, and every article must pass automated checks for sourcing and accuracy before it is published, as our Editorial Policy explains. We label research-based coverage as research and never claim testing or travel we have not done.
How we are funded
Freedom Road Living is reader-supported. When you buy through some links on the site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, as our Affiliate Disclosure explains. We do not accept payment for placement in our guides, and commissions never decide what we recommend.
