How Freedom Road Living handles advertising, sponsorships, and brand partnerships, and the rules we follow.
This page explains how Freedom Road Living handles advertising and sponsorships so you can always tell the difference between our editorial content and paid messages.
Current status
Freedom Road Living does not currently display third-party display advertising, and we do not publish sponsored articles. Our revenue comes from affiliate commissions, described in our Affiliate Disclosure, and in future from an optional membership, the RV Freedom Portal.
If we add advertising
- Display ads will be clearly separated from editorial content and labeled “Advertisement.”
- Before any ad network sets cookies or uses personal information for targeted advertising, we will update our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, add any legally required opt-out links, and ask for consent where the law requires it.
- We will not run ads for products we consider unsafe or misleading for RV travelers.
Sponsored content and brand partnerships
- Any sponsored article, video, newsletter mention, or social post will be clearly labeled as “Sponsored” or “Paid partnership” at the top, as the FTC Endorsement Guides and Canadian law require.
- Sponsors never review or approve our conclusions before publication, and they cannot buy a positive review, a rating, or a place in a comparison.
- Free products, travel, or services received from a brand will be disclosed wherever the brand is mentioned.

Our standards for any future advertising
If we add display advertising, ads will be clearly separated from editorial content and labeled. Advertisers will not see articles before publication or influence what we write. We will not run ads for products or services we consider unsafe or deceptive, and we will review ad categories that appear on safety-related guides, such as pages about propane or electrical work.
If an ad network would use cookies for personalized advertising, we will update our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy first, honor Global Privacy Control signals, and give visitors in regions that require it a consent choice before those cookies are set. Sponsored articles, if we ever publish them, will be labeled “Sponsored” at the top, and our Editorial Policy will still apply to their accuracy.
