The rules for using Freedom Road Living, including our tools, content, submissions, affiliate links, disclaimers, and how disputes are handled.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of freedomroadliving.com, including all content, calculators, checklists, forms, newsletters, and related services (together, the “Site”), operated by Jeremy Jarvis (“Freedom Road Living,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Eligibility
The Site is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to submit content, subscribe, or join a waitlist.
2. Educational information, not professional advice
Everything on the Site is general information for educational purposes. It is not legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, insurance, medical, mechanical, electrical, engineering, or immigration advice, and no professional relationship is created by your use of the Site. Topics such as RV financing, insurance, residency and domicile, taxes, border crossings, health coverage, and remote-work income depend on your individual circumstances and on laws that change. 3. Safety and your responsibility
RV travel involves real risks, including those related to towing and vehicle weight, tire condition, propane, carbon monoxide, electrical systems, batteries and inverters, generators, weather, wildlife, remote terrain, and road conditions. Follow manufacturer instructions and applicable codes, use qualified technicians for installation and repair, respect posted rules and closures, and use your own judgment. You are solely responsible for how you use information from the Site.
4. Calculators and tools
Our calculators produce estimates based on the inputs you provide and the assumptions we state on each tool page. They are simplified models, may contain errors, and are not quotes, offers, or guarantees. Loan, affordability, and budget results are not credit decisions and do not reflect any lender’s terms. Solar, battery, and power results are not engineering designs. Verify important numbers with lenders, installers, manufacturers, and official sources.
5. Accuracy, prices, and changing conditions
We research carefully and update content, but information about products, prices, availability, programs, laws, campgrounds, park rules, reservation systems, road conditions, and connectivity changes frequently. We do not guarantee that any content is complete, current, or error-free. Product prices and availability are set by merchants and may differ from anything shown or implied on the Site. Always confirm details with the official source before you rely on them. You can report incorrect information at any time.
6. Intellectual property and permitted use
The Site, including its text, calculators and their code, checklists, graphics, logos, original images, and design, is owned by or licensed to Freedom Road Living and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. “Freedom Road Living,” its logo, and its tagline are our trademarks. You may view and print pages and checklists for your personal, non-commercial use and share links to our pages. You may not copy, republish, sell, scrape, frame, or create derivative works from the Site, or use its content to train or fine-tune machine-learning or AI models, without our written permission. Short quotations with attribution and a link are welcome under fair use.
7. Your submissions
If you submit a campground, correction, comment, survey response, or other content (“Submission”), you confirm that it is your own work and truthful to the best of your knowledge, that it does not copy anyone else’s text, photos, or reviews, and that it does not violate any law or anyone’s rights. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, edit, verify, publish, translate, and display your Submission in connection with the Site and the RV Freedom Portal, with credit if you request it. We may decline, edit, or remove any Submission at our discretion. Do not include personal information about others.
8. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to: use the Site unlawfully or to harm others; attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; interfere with the Site’s security or operation; send spam or malicious code through our forms; scrape, crawl, or harvest content or data by automated means except for search engines complying with our robots.txt; misrepresent your identity or affiliation; submit false or misleading information; or use the Site to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
9. Affiliate links, sponsors, and third-party sites
The Site contains affiliate links and may contain clearly labeled sponsored content, as explained in our Affiliate Disclosure and Advertising Disclosure. When you follow a link to another site, that site’s terms and policies apply. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, products, services, warranties, returns, or customer service. Any purchase you make is a transaction between you and the merchant.
10. Newsletter and communications
If you subscribe, you agree to receive the emails you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Our email practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
11. RV Freedom Portal (future paid service)
Joining the RV Freedom Portal waitlist does not create a purchase, subscription, or obligation. If we launch a paid membership, it will be governed by separate terms that describe pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and any automatic-renewal disclosures required by law (including state automatic-renewal laws and the FTC’s rules on negative option marketing), which you will see and accept before paying.
12. Copyright complaints
We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. See our Copyright and DMCA Policy.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, TOOLS, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND AVAILABILITY. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or harmful components.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FREEDOM ROAD LIVING AND ITS OWNER, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, OR FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you, and nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including consumer rights under applicable consumer protection law.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Freedom Road Living and its owner from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your Submissions, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which the Site’s operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at hello@freedomroadliving.com and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court where it qualifies. Otherwise, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the operator’s home state, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in Canada, the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction whose laws give you the right to bring claims in your local courts or under your local law, nothing in these Terms removes that right.
17. International users
The Site is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, you are responsible for complying with local laws. Content about Canada is written for travelers and does not replace official Canadian government guidance.
18. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms. The “last updated” date below shows when. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them. We may suspend or end access to any part of the Site at any time.
19. General terms
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a sale or transfer of the Site. These Terms, together with the policies they reference, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. Section headings are for convenience only.
Additional terms
Official data and the campground finder
Some tools, including the RV Campground Finder and our national park length-limit pages, display data from U.S. government sources such as the National Park Service and the Recreation Information Database. We present that data as published, with the date we retrieved it, but agencies change limits, seasons, closures, and fees on their own schedules. Government data is provided “as is,” and neither we nor the agencies guarantee that it is complete or current. Always confirm details with the managing agency before you travel. Freedom Road Living is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency.
AI-assisted content
Some content on the site is drafted with the help of artificial intelligence tools and checked against our editorial standards and automated quality checks before publication, as our Editorial Policy explains. Despite those checks, any article can contain errors. Content is general information, not advice tailored to you, and you should verify anything important with the original source or a qualified professional.
Electronic communications
When you email us, submit a form, or subscribe to the newsletter, you consent to receive communications from us electronically. You agree that notices and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing, to the extent the law allows.
Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the site or our tools, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation. This does not apply to content you submit that we have agreed to credit or pay for under a separate written agreement.
No agency or partnership
Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, franchise, or agency relationship between you and Freedom Road Living. Our affiliate relationships with merchants and networks likewise do not make us their agent, and we cannot bind any merchant to a price, product, or service term.
Beta and future features
We may offer new tools or features labeled beta, preview, or coming soon. These may change, break, or be withdrawn at any time. If we launch the RV Freedom Portal or any other paid service, separate terms will explain pricing, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds before you pay anything, and those terms will control for that service.
Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for any delay or failure to provide the site or any service caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, wildfires, extreme weather, outages of hosting, internet, or power providers, government action, or failures of third-party services we rely on.
Export controls and sanctions
You may not use the site in violation of U.S. export control or sanctions laws, or if you are located in, or are a resident of, a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, or if you appear on a U.S. government restricted-party list.
Assignment
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may assign these terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, or to an affiliate, as long as the assignee agrees to be bound by them.
Survival, waiver, and interpretation
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute terms, will survive. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. Headings are for convenience only, and the words “including” and “for example” mean “including without limitation.”
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by contract. If a provision would be unenforceable against you where you live, it applies only to the extent the law allows, and the rest of these terms remain in effect. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limits of liability, so some of the limits above may not apply to you.

The site is free to use; if we ever charge for a service, its price will be shown before you pay.
