How to use the campground map
- Enter your rig length in feet, measured bumper to bumper, including any bike rack or ladder.
- Choose motorhome or trailer, because many parks list different limits for each.
- Pick a state, or leave it on All states to explore the whole country.
- Tick electric hookups, dump station or reservable sites if you need them.
- Click a dot for the campground’s limits and amenities, then use the link to reserve or read the park’s page.
What the colors mean
- Green: the campground lists a maximum length that fits the rig length you entered.
- Gold: no maximum length is listed, so check with the park before you book.
- Red: the listed limit is shorter than your rig, or RVs are not listed as allowed.
A campground-wide limit is the longest site it has. Individual sites are often shorter, so always check the specific site length when you reserve. Our guide to RV length limits in national parks explains how limits work, and the full length-limit table lists every park campground with a published limit.
Where the data comes from
The map uses the National Park Service’s official campground data, refreshed from the NPS API and stored with its update date, which the map shows above the canvas. Length limits, amenities and reservation links are as the parks report them. Parks change seasons, closures and limits, so confirm details on the official page or Recreation.gov before you travel.
Plan the rest of the trip
Compare costs with the Campground Cost Calculator, check whether your rig fits with the RV Campground Finder, and plan drive days with the Travel Day Planner. For staying off-grid between parks, see free camping in the US.
The map is for planning only. Always follow park rules and confirm availability with the official source.
